Islamabad: Dec 23, 2021 (TNS): Chief Election Commissioner AJK Justice (Rtd) Abdul Rashid Sulehria has announced a schedule for the delimitation of the local councils across the state.
Briefing media about the schedule in Muzaffarabad on Thursday, he said the delimitation committee will prepare the initial draft of the delimitation from Dec 23 till 5th January.
The initial draft of the delimitation will be published from 6th to 9th January. Complaints could be registered with the delimitation committee from 7th to 14th January.
The committee will dispose of the complaints and issue decisions, from 8th to 20th January.
The Delimitation Committee will send the draft of the final delimitation to the Election Commission from 21st to 24th January.
He said local government elections would be held before August as per the Supreme Court decision.
