ECNEC Okays multibillion rupees development projects

Islamabad, July 26 (TNS): The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Wednesday approved projects worth more than Rs 134 billion in various areas.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar chaired the committee which met in Islamabad.
ECNEC Okayed more than Rs 61 billion for extension of Right Bank Outfall Drain from Sehwan to Arabian Sea in Sindh.
More than Rs 21 billion rupees were approval for CAREC Corridor Development Investment Program which aims at dualization and restoration of 208 km of 3 road sections on N-55 in KP and Sindh.
ECNEC also approved more than Rs 7 billion for upgrading of Sohawa-Chakwal Road project.
More than Rs 9 billion amount has been allocated for construction of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto bridge over River Indus in Rajanpur and Rahim Yar Khan districts in South Punjab.
The committee approved over 17 billion rupees for Lower Indus Right Bank Irrigation and Drainage Project.
The ECNEC meeting also approved more than Rs 10 billion for Balochistan and Sindh Effluent Disposal into RBOD-III at Nasirabad, Jaffarabad in Balochistan and in Sindh’s Jacobabad, Kambir, Shahdad Kot districts.
