Islamabad: Mar 31, 2022 (TNS): 5th in camera meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security was held in Committee Room No. 2, Parliament House, Islamabad at 6:00 pm under the Chairmanship of Honourable Speaker. The agenda of the meeting was circulated vide Notice No. F.2(1)/2019-PC-Wing, dated 31st March, 2022.
2.The Committee was briefed on a formal communication made by a high level official of a foreign country with the Ambassador of Pakistan in the said country. According to the briefing the communication was duly conveyed to the Ministsry of Foreign Affairs by the said Ambassador.
3.All the Ministers and Members from the treasury benches expressed their concern over the language used in the communication as undiplomatic and uncalled for, terming it an interference in the internal affairs and against the sovereignity of Pakistan. The Members criticized the absence of the opposition members from the meeting, although the meeting was called on their insistence. Members opined that Pakistan should not compromise on the soverignity and the Government’s principled stand.
