Islamabad: Jun 14, 2022 (TNS): Mr. Khalid Athar, Eminent Senior Journalist of Pakistan, Chief Editor, Tele Times has been awarded Special Appreciation Award 2022 for Outstanding Services in Media Industry in Manama during the MEET ICT Bahrain International Conference 2022 . The Chief Editor, Teletimes International received the award during the tenth edition of the MEET ICT Bahrain International Technology Exhibition Bitex in Manama, the capital of Bahrain. MEET ICT is the annual information and communication technology event held in Bahrain.Delegates from around the world in various sessions and workshops during the World Conference share their experiences with the latest technology.Khalid Athar has been representing Pakistan for many years as Chief Editor, Teletimes International. The special event was held under the patronage of Hon’ble Kamal Bin Ahmed Muhammad, Minister of Telecommunication and Transportation. Ahmed Al-Hajiri, Chief Executive Officer of Work Smart and other eminent personalities attended. It is to be noted that the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (Unido) is also an affiliated partner for the 10th Information and Communication Technology Conference (Meet ICT) and Bahrain International Technology Exhibition (Bitex). MEET ICT Conference has a prominent place in the field of ICT in Bahrain and the theme of this year’s tenth edition was ‘Leading the way towards the digital economy through artificial intelligence’. The three-day conference brought together more than 700 experts from around the world to share their experiences on a brighter future and an important platform for the media industry.In addition, it is an important platform for networking, building valuable partnerships, re-opening and expanding business opportunities, and expanding innovative trends, services and products. National and international media organizations have congratulated Khalid Athar on receiving the Appreciation Award at MEET ICT Bahrain and said that the services of Mr. Khalid Athar in media for more than fifty years is a practical proof of his commitment to this sacred profession. He has the status of an academy in his own right. Before founding the Pakistan International Press Agency in 1990, he was associated with the daily Jang Karachi and other prominent newspapers. Many TV Reporter, Anchor Journalist-columnist and radio broadcaster has been associated with his organization PPA.
