Islamabad: Jul 01, 2022 (TNS): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday met Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that the King Abdul Aziz Medal was a great honor for the Armed Forces, considered the security of Saudi Arabia as Pakistan’s security and reiterated his commitment to further strengthen bilateral relations. This was their second meeting after the premier was elected to the office. Sources said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif congratulated Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa on being Awarded the King Abdul Aziz Medal by Saudi Arabia. The Professional matters pertaining to national security were also discussed during the meeting,could not attend the oath-taking ceremony of the premier on April 11 as he was sick.Earlier, the first meeting took place on April 19, 2022, after assuming the office of Prime Minister .Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa could not attend the oath-taking ceremony of the premier on April 11 as he was sick.
