Citizens busy to decorate their Vehicles to celebrate I-Day

ISLAMABAD, Aug 3 (TNS):  Like elsewhere in the country, the people belonging to every walk of life are busy in decorating their car, buses, motorcycles, trucks and bicycles with national flags and stickers to celebrate the Independence Day.

A report aired by a private news channel said, preparations to celebrate I-Day of Pakistan are in full swing. The transporters are being seen decorating their vehicles with national flags, colorful stickers and banners inscribed with Independence Day greetings.

Most of the cars, rickshaws, motorcycles and busses plying on the roads can be seen decorated with national flags and stickers.

Hassan Ali, a Bus driver, said he has already hoisted national flag on his bus to show his deep love for our country.  “This year I-Day preparations have started before the advent of August and people are showing more enthusiasm towards celebrating the day,” citizen Hafiz Zia said.

Another citizen said, “The display of bunch of stalls along the roadside in the main markets has become center of attraction for most of the people.”  He said, “I saw huge rush of children and youngsters at these stalls to buying flags and stickers for decorating their cars and vans which reflect their patriotic spirit and enthusiasm.”
