Rawalpindi; (Press Release) A candidate of NA-62 Rawalpindi Azmat Ali Mubarak Advocate High Court, has announced to approched the Returning Officer of Election Commission against the approval of Sheikh Rasheed’s nomination papers.
For this purpose, Asghar Ali Mubarak Advocate fieled an election pitition on behalf of Azmat Ali Mubarak in which he stated that there are serious allegations against Sheikh Rashid, the candidate of NA-62 Rawalpindi.
Sheikh Rashid does not meet the conditions of Article 62 of the Constitution of Pakistan as candidate of NA-62 .
The nomination papers of Sheikh Rashid should be rejected, Azmat Ali Mubarak further said that if a candidate is involved in criminal cases, he is not eligible to participate in the genral election, while Sheikh Rashid is nominated in several criminal cases.
For a clean, transparent, impartial and fair election, it was mandatory for the candidate to appear in front of the Returning Officer Election Commission along with the proposer and secendor while Sheikh Rasheed was not present at the time of scrutiny of the nomination papers.
In the scrutiny process, another candidate cannot be replaced, Sheikh Rasheed also becoming a problem for the opposition candidates by gaining public sympathy.
There is no evidence of the property Lal Haveli etc. attached to the nomination papers. Therefore, Sheikh Rasheed’s nomination papers should be rejected.
The FIR against Sheikh Rasheed are serious nature registered in the police stations of Karachi, Hub, Lasbela and Murree.
