China published a 12-point position paper on 24 February 2023 that called for immediate peace talks and a political settlement to end the Ukraine-Russia conflict. The 12-point peace proposal also urges measures to prevent attacks on civilians, keep nuclear facilities safe, establish humanitarian corridors and ensure the export of grain. It called for an end to the “Cold War mentality”. It is fact that China is engaging in peace efforts and focusing on ending the war. Peace talk is very important for the resolution of crucial humanitarian problems. China would also continue to support peace in maintaining national stability and oppose attempts by external forces to interfere in internal affairs or impose sanctions unilateral against any country. China has comes up with peacemaker initiatives that will benefit humanity. Dialogue and negotiation are the only viable solution to the Ukraine crisis. China will continue to play its constructive role in this regard. China’s stance and approach are in line with the interests and aspirations of the majority and

China made its principles for solving the crisis and outlined the essential steps to do It noted that in terms of global security, China proposed progressive ideas and vision as it put forward the Global Security Initiative (GSI) for global peace. position as a mediator of peace and a promoter of negotiations, as well as China’s strong commitment to global governance and security.
The Ukraine problem has developed within a complicated historical framework. China has always maintained an open and equitable position to promote peace negotiations. China has always taken a strong stance in favour of harmony, peace and dialogue. Everyone should accept the idea that the dispute should be resolved ultimately through dialogue and negotiations. The international community must support this peace plan and assist China in negotiating and mediating to end this war. Unfortunately, the Western media and politicians are distorting and maligning China’s role in peace efforts. China will make every effort to negotiate, but the success of a peace proposal ultimately rests with both sides of the conflicting parties. Human society must prevent going down the same old path of hostility, division, and conflict, as well as to avoid conflicts and wars.
