Rawalpindi – 10 December 2023 (Adnan Hameed): The Aesthetic Physicians Association of Pakistan (AAPP) celebrated its official inauguration at a distinguished event hosted in Rawalpindi. The ceremony, held at a local hotel, was graced by the presence of chief guest Mishal Hussain Malik, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Human Rights. Notable attendees included Shahzad Ali Khan, Vice-Chancellor of Health University, and Dr. Anis Ahmed, Vice-Chancellor of Ripha International University.
Dr. Samina Mohsin, President of the AAPP, welcomed the distinguished guests and showcased a compelling documentary, emphasizing the historical significance of beauty and the unique blend of art and science in aesthetic medicine. Dr. Mohsin highlighted the Association’s successful collaboration with various vice-chancellors to introduce certification, diploma, and master’s degree programs in educational institutions over the past year.
In her address, Mishal Hussain Malik recognized the moment as a historic milestone for the intersection of aesthetics and medical science in Pakistan. She commended the establishment of the first Aesthetic Association in the country, acknowledging the challenges within aesthetic medicine and extending congratulations to the organizers.
Vice-Chancellor Shahzad Ali Khan emphasized the importance of preserving aesthetic art while cautioning against blindly adopting Western ideals. Dr. Anis Ahmed underscored the intrinsic beauty in everything created by Allah, emphasizing the significance of aesthetic art.
