FIA seals substandard warehouse of healthcare factory in Rawalpindi
RAWALPINDI, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle on Thursday conducted a raid on the packing stock warehouse of a healthcare factory situated on Adiala Road in Rawalpindi.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the operation was initiated based on suspicions of the production of illegal and substandard drugs.
Acting on the directives of Deputy Director Afzal Khan Niazi, the FIA team raided the warehouse to uncover any potential wrongdoing.

A team comprising Assistant Director Rizwan Mehdi, Inspector Zahid Bhatti, Nadeem Awan, Ehtsham Gondal, and FIA officers, collaborated with officials from the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), including Naveed Anwar raided the warehouse.
Although no illicit drugs were found during the raid, the conditions within the warehouse were found to be significantly substandard, breaching hygiene regulations set by DRAP. Consequently, the team took decisive action by sealing the warehouse in accordance with Form 6 of DRAP.

FIA spokesperson asserted, “Further measures will be implemented in coordination with DRAP to ensure strict adherence to regulations, safeguarding public health.” The move underscores the commitment of law enforcement agencies to maintaining the integrity of healthcare facilities and upholding standards for the well-being of the community.
