Peshawar: Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Akhtar Hayat Khan invited the 6-year-old thalassemia patient from Swabi district to meet the IGP, Dr. Muniba Zahid, in his office today.
It should be noted that Dr. Muniba Zahid had written a letter to the IGP and expressed his desire for a meeting. Muniba Zahid wrote in the letter that she is a thalassemia patient and her five sisters are 6 years old suffering from thalassemia. She passed away before reaching the age. Moreover, she is the 7th and youngest child of her parents and she is fighting for her life with thalassemia. In the letter, she expressed concern over the increasing number of thalassemia patients in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
On reaching Central Police Office Peshawar, IGP took Dr. Muniba Zahid with him to his office where she stayed with the IGP for some time. Dr. Muniba Zahid’s father was also present on the occasion. IGP Akhtar Hayat Khan told Dr. Muniba. Dr. Muniba Zahid interacted with the IGP in a pleasant mood and told him that he is very passionate about studies and poetry. The IGP said that Dr. Muniba Zahid is the representative of our little children.
The IGP gave cash reward and other gifts to Dr. Muniba Zahid and prayed for her recovery and wished her well in the future.
