Capital Development Authority will organize Margalla Tree Drive Session in Islamabad on June 27, 2024. In this regard, an Open House Session will be held at Jinnah Convention Center on June 27, 2024 from 04:00 PM to 06:00 PM.
This decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa. The meeting was attended by renowned Environmentalist Rizwan Mehboob and senior officers of relevant formations.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed that all stakeholders including corporate sector, volunteers , general public, educational institutions should be invited in Margalla Tree Drive Open House Session. He said that the basic aim of the open house session is to involve people from all walks of life in the Margalla Hills Tree Plantation Drive to be held in the first week of July.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa further said that the purpose of holding the Open House Session is to involve all stakeholders in steps taken for protection of Margalla Hills. In the Open House Session, detailed discussion will be held on the remedies that should be taken to compensate damages caused by the recent fire in Margalla Hills.
Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa further said that the aim of this campaign is to ensure the protection and enhancement of flora and fona in the Margalla Hills. It should be noted that the Margallah Tree Drive will be carried out with the hashtag #CDACares and #TreeDriveMargallahHills.
In Margalla Hills Tree Drive, the corporate sector, other stakeholders and CDA will jointly carry out plantations.
Steps taken for the beauty of Margalla, enhancement in its green character and its protections will be also discussed in the Open House.
