Security plan for Nawaz Lahore visit finalized

LAHORE, Aug. 5 (TNS): The security plan for the arrival of ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on August 9 in Lahore has been finalized.

Informing the security details, DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf told that 8000 police personnel will be deployed on the route of Nawaz Sharif’s motorcade, while aerial vigilance will also be conducted.

Police started taking container in their possession to close the routes leading toward Nawaz Sharif rally path, however drivers complaint that police demand bribe of Rs 5000 to 10000 for releasing their vehicles.

Traffic officer Rai Aijaz told that two thousands traffic wardens will be deployed on Nawaz Sharif motorcade route to make sure the flow of traffic and avoid any mess.

He said the citizens using heavy traffic have already been directed to use alternative route for the day.
