,,,,, The match played between Pakistan and Malaysia in the ongoing Asian Champions Trophy hockey tournament in China was tied with 2-2 goals.
It is to be remembered that in the last Chennai Asian Champions Trophy hockey tournament, Pakistan was defeated by Malaysia in its first match 1-3.
The match was played between Pakistan and Malaysia in the Asian Champions Trophy hockey tournament on September 8 in Holinbeur, China.
Pakistan’s first goal was scored by Sufyan Khan on a penalty corner in the 24th minute, while Zakaria Hayat scored the second field goal in the 32nd minute.
Pakistan had a 2-0 lead in the match at one stage but the Pakistan’s team could not maintain this lead and Malaysia ended Pakistan’s hopes of winning the opening match by equalizing the match. Both goals from Malaysia were scored through penalty corners, the first goal was scored by Faisal Sari in the 38th minute and then Iman in 56th minute to level the match at two goals apiece.
Pakistan’s captain Emad Butt was named the best player of the match.
In addition to Pakistan, teams from India, Korea, Malaysia, Japan and China are participating in the event and Pakistan will play its second match against Korea today on September 9 at 10:30 PM Pakistan time.
Pakistan will play its third match against Japan on September 11,
fourth match against China on September 12, while Pakistan will play its fifth match of the pool against arch-rivals India on September 14 at 1 pm Pakistani time.
