Islamabad (saqib khattar) On the directives of the Government of Punjab, political leadership, ﷺ. In the district peace committee meeting, all stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining an atmosphere of brotherhood and harmony within the district.The meeting was chaired by Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Communication and Works, Rana Muhammad Saleem Hanif, and Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali Bukhari. MPA Barrister Usama Fazal, DPO Ismail Kharak, Additional Deputy Commissioners, and AC Khanewal were also present. Scholars from different schools of thought and prominent figures assured their full cooperation during the meeting.
Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Parliamentary Secretary Rana Saleem Hanif stated that, as per the directives of the Chief Minister of Punjab, Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ will be observed with religious devotion and respect. The Government of Punjab has made exemplary arrangements across the province, and the political leadership stands with the administration to ensure peace and harmony in the district.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali Bukhari said that the district administration will ensure the best arrangements for the processions. He has directed the setup of water stalls along the routes and instructed immediate patchwork on the procession routes. He further added that all officers have been issued instructions for the best arrangements during Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ, and a central control room will be established at the DC office to monitor the processions.
MPA Barrister Usama Fazal expressed gratitude to the scholars of all schools of thought for their cooperation in maintaining peace and emphasized that together, they will turn the province and the district into a haven of peace.
DPO Ismail Kharak stated that foolproof security arrangements have been made for all processions and gatherings, and any miscreants will be dealt with strictly.
At the end of the meeting, prayers were offered for the development and safety of the country.
