Bagh (TNS)4 Khawarij were killed in an operation by security forces in Bagh area of Khyber district. Among the terrorists killed was ring leader Uzair-ur-Rehman alias Qari Ismail.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), security forces took action in Bagh area of Khyber district on intelligence information about the presence of terrorists.
Ring leader Azizur Rehman alias Qari Ismail is also among the killed Khawarij, while ring leader Mukhlis was also killed in an encounter with security forces.
It should be noted that 2 days ago, security forces had foiled an infiltration attempt from Afghanistan in Zhob district of Balochistan and killed 6 foreign terrorists.
The Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR) had said that on the night of January 22/23, a group of foreign terrorists was trying to infiltrate from the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
The ISPR said that security forces traced and effectively foiled an infiltration attempt by foreign terrorists in Sambaza area of Zhob district, killing six terrorists.
According to the ISPR, a large quantity of arms, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the slain terrorists.
The Pakistan Army Public Relations Department said that Pakistan has been demanding that the Afghan interim government ensure effective border management at the border.
The ISPR had expressed its expectation that the Afghan interim government would fulfill its responsibilities and not allow the Khawarij to use Afghan soil to continue their terrorist activities against Pakistan.
