Pakistan’s share in carbon emissions is negligible, yet we are facing the worst effects of environmental pollution. The devastation we have faced, no other country can even imagine. We are struggling to cope with the situation within our means, but effective measures against environmental pollution cannot be taken alone. We need the support and assistance of the international community. It is time for climate finance to be adapted to the requirements of justice in the form of grants. We and other developing countries cannot afford debt in the name of climate finance. It is unfortunate that carbon emissions are still increasing and the G20 countries are the most responsible. Therefore, these 20 richest countries should also contribute more to dealing with environmental pollution. The Prime Minister clarified that countries that have become rich at the cost of the degradation of poor countries have left poor societies like Pakistan helpless today. We did not need climate justice so badly before today and we are facing severe financial difficulties. We cannot spend too much on climate action, we are striving to get 60 percent of our energy from renewable sources by 2030, we are also fully prepared to be part of the global climate solution, but we cannot do anything alone. The goals set under climate protection include reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50 percent, increasing water reserves by 10 million acre feet, increasing arable land by 20.3 million acres, restoring forests and promoting resilient infrastructure against environmental disasters. The completion of this plan will protect natural resources, and food and water will be secured under the Food Security Plan. The fourth plan is to ensure modern infrastructure and affordable and reliable supply of energy. Under this goal, the share of renewable energy will be increased to 10 percent. Circular debt will be reduced and the energy system will be improved. The share of railways in passenger transport will be increased from 5 to 15 percent, while the share in freight transport will be increased from 8 to 25 percent. This sector also includes promoting regional connectivity. The way society is divided on political and religious grounds. Youth is being used as a tool for sabotage, incitement and anti-national elements, in these circumstances, it is a big challenge to improve the country’s development, prosperity and the image of Pakistan at the global level. Under the Udan Pakistan project, equality, ethics and empowerment will be promoted to create a just society that is based on inclusive and ethical values. Its points include increasing the Universal Health Coverage Index by 12 percent, increasing the literacy rate to 10 percent, taking women’s participation in the workforce to 17 percent, reducing the youth unemployment rate by 6 percent and promoting social security. The main goal is to create a harmonious and prosperous society by empowering and ensuring social security to the deprived sections of the society. The government has resolved to create investment opportunities, promote the IT industry and freelancing, support industrial development and innovation, and launch major projects through public-private partnerships. A modern energy and transport system will be created. Under the Prime Minister’s vision, Udan Pakistan is a game-changer project. If the nation acts on it unitedly, the objectives of economic stability, digital revolution, environmental protection, and social inclusion can be achieved. The Udan Pakistan program is based on realism, which has been developed by Minister for Development and Planning Ahsan Iqbal in the light of ground realities and global experiences. To make it successful, 65 percent of Pakistan’s youth will play a key role in this change. Under the government’s National Economic Transformation Plan (2024–2029), it will provide the foundation for a $1 trillion economy by 2035. To achieve this goal, the government will develop effective policies, the private sector will be attracted to invest in industrial development, educational institutions will be provided with support for research and development, and public awareness will be raised in civil society. “Udan Pakistan” is the beginning of a long journey and a new dawn towards regaining Pakistan’s lost position in the world. This project is not of any one government but of the entire nation, for which it is the responsibility of all of us to make it successful together. National unity and harmony are indispensable for success in this regard. In the past, many long-term economic projects were launched, which sometimes could not achieve complete success due to mismanagement and sometimes political instability, lack of financial resources and lack of continuity of policies. In this context, the locally developed “Udan Pakistan” can prove to be the best program for the development and prosperity of Pakistan. Political stability and peace are indispensable for promoting investment for economic stability. I am confident that the entire nation can successfully take the beloved homeland to new heights of development by making “Udan Pakistan” a success and Pakistan can regain its lost position at the international level. If this excellent five-year plan is implemented wholeheartedly, then Pakistan will definitely reach the destination of development and prosperity.”URAAN Pakistan” is a five-year program under the supervision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, a ray of hope, which has been presented to the nation. Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, said that empowering the youth socially and economically and providing them with decent employment is the top priority of the government. Udaan Pakistan is a revolutionary program, which is under the 5Es framework, which The aim of the program is to provide a strategy to make Pakistan strong, stable and prosperous. The goal of this program is to take Pakistan’s economy to $1 trillion by 2035 and $3 trillion by 2047. The program is based on five main pillars, including exports, e-Pakistan, environmental protection, energy and infrastructure, equality, ethics and empowerment. Under this plan, it is planned to take annual exports to $60 billion. Under this, IT, agriculture, creative industries, minerals, and the blue economy will be promoted. Small and medium-sized industries and the business environment will develop. “Made in Pakistan” will be made a sign of quality and trust. Its expected impacts include stabilizing the rupee, reducing dependence on imports and paving the way for sustainable development. The second point is e-Pakistan, i.e. transforming the economy through the digital revolution. Its main goals include taking the ICT freelancing industry to $5 billion. 200,000 IT graduates will be produced annually. The first startup unicorn has been created. 100 million mobile subscribers will be reached and artificial intelligence and cyber security capabilities will be improved. Its expected impact will be to create employment opportunities for the youth and develop it as a global technology hub. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the Udan Pakistan project will create new employment opportunities across the country. To increase employment opportunities, it is imperative to equip the youth with professional skills. A meeting was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif regarding the Prime Minister Youth Program. If the world does not pay attention, there will be devastating effects on dozens of other countries as well.
