RAWALPINDI (TNS): Chairman PCB visited Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and reviewed the progress of the upgrade project.
The upgrade work of the main pavilion and media boxes of Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium has been completed while the installation of chairs in the enclosures is in the final stages.
Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi was briefed on the upgrade work. He inspected various parts of the stadium including the pavilion, media box, VIP boxes and observed the finishing work and expressed satisfaction over the progress of the upgrade project.
Mohsin Naqvi also reviewed the proposed security arrangements of the teams.
He said that the ICC tournament is being held in Pakistan after a long time and all preparations for the mega event are complete.

The ICC Champions Trophy begins on February 19, with three matches to be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Bangladesh will face New Zealand on February 24, Australia will face South Africa on February 25, while hosts Pakistan will face Bangladesh on February 27.
