Miami, Friday, 21 February 2025 (TNS):? The FII PRIORITY Summit in Miami commenced with a keynote address by U.S. President Donald J. Trump, who underscored the role of strategic investment in shaping the global economic landscape.
Trump emphasized the significance of investments that not only yield financial returns but also create long-term social impact.
“It is a tremendous honor to be the first American president to address the Future Investment Initiative Institute (FII),” Trump stated. “I come with a simple message for business leaders from across the nation and around the world: If you want to build the future, push boundaries, unleash breakthroughs, transform industries, and make a fortune.”
The summit gathered an elite group of global investment, finance, and technology leaders, including Saudi Ambassador to the United States Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz; Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih; Governor of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and Chairman of FII Institute Yasir Al-Rumayyan; Saudi Minister of Finance Mohammed Aljadaan; Tesla CEO and SpaceX founder Elon Musk; Oracle CEO Safra Catz; Bridgewater Associates CEO Nir Bar Dea; 26North Founder and Washington Commanders Managing Partner Josh Harris; Starwood Capital Group Chairman and CEO Barry Sternlicht; former Google CEO and Chairman Dr. Eric Schmidt; Grupo Salinas Chairman Ricardo Salinas Pliego; Valor Equity Partners CEO Antonio Gracias; Vista Equity Partners CEO Robert F. Smith; FIFA President Gianni Infantino; Claure Group CEO and SHEIN Group Vice Chairman Marcelo Claure; Insight Partners Managing Director Deven Parekh; and NEA Co-CEO Tony Florence.
Trump took the opportunity to express gratitude to Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for his efforts in hosting talks in Riyadh aimed at resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict. He also acknowledged Yasir Al-Rumayyan for organizing the summit.
The event featured a conversation moderated by FII Institute Executive Committee Chairman Richard Attias, in which Trump shared insights on business success, leadership, and his personal legacy. He credited his father as a key inspiration, highlighting the values of peace, love, respect, and strength as essential traits for great leaders.
Beyond Trump’s remarks, the summit facilitated discussions on pressing global issues, including the expansion of carbon markets, maritime sustainability, healthcare affordability, and leadership in workforce development. The FII Institute also unveiled The Global Future of Work Report: Series Two, which examines the evolving labor market landscape amid rapid technological advancements.
