ISLAMABAD (TNS); A meeting of the committee chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar was held here on Wednesday to review measures to ensure stability in urea prices in the market. According to a statement issued by the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, the meeting was attended by the Ministers of Petroleum and National Food Security, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, Federal Secretaries of the Ministries of Petroleum and Industries and senior officials of the concerned departments. The committee expressed satisfaction over the position of urea stock in the country and the stability in its prices. After detailed deliberations, the committee decided to extend the supply of gas to the urea sector for three months till June 30 to ensure continuous availability of urea.
