Rawalpindi (TNS): The participants in the 268th Corps Commanders Conference have reaffirmed their resolve to eliminate indiscriminate terrorism at all costs and have made it clear that the state will deal with all its might against anti-national elements, facilitators and those who are trying to destabilize Pakistan. No one will be allowed to disrupt peace in Balochistan.
According to the ISPR, the 268th Corps Commanders Conference was held under the chairmanship of Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir. The forum offered Fateha for the martyrs. The participants paid tribute to the eternal sacrifices of the martyrs of the Pakistani armed forces, law enforcement agencies and citizens for the peace and stability of the motherland. The forum was given a comprehensive briefing on the current situation in the region, the challenges facing national security and Pakistan’s strategy in response to the growing threats. The conference also took a detailed review of the regional and internal security situation.
The participants of the conference said that the nefarious political interests and social elements disrupting the stability and prosperity of Balochistan will be decisively defeated with the unwavering support of the people of Balochistan. The true face, nexus and efforts of all domestic and foreign elements in Balochistan to spread and foster chaos have been fully exposed.
The Conference reiterated that no amnesty will be given to such elements and those who make such attempts. The Forum stressed the need for rapid and effective implementation of the “Commitment to Stability” strategy within the framework of the National Action Plan. The Forum also highlighted the importance of a common approach against terrorism with the support of the entire nation.
The Conference reiterated that the state institutions will strictly implement the law within the ambit of the Constitution. There will be no leniency or negligence in the implementation of the law.
The Army Chief also appreciated the launch of District Coordination Committees established under the National Action Plan across Pakistan.
Stressing the need for rapid implementation of the National Action Plan without any hindrance, the Army Chief said that all institutions should ensure sustainable coordination, coordinated efforts and cooperation in the implementation of the National Action Plan as per the government’s instructions.
The Army Chief said that the Pakistan Army will provide full support to the government and law enforcement agencies in taking strict legal measures against terrorist financing. Illegal activities are intrinsically linked to terrorist financing. There is no place for terrorists and their facilitators in Pakistan.
The participants expressed deep concern over the ongoing serious human rights violations by India in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The participants also expressed concerns over the unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian army along the Line of Control. The forum stressed Pakistan’s strong and unwavering support for the just rights of the people of illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The forum also stressed the need for sustained diplomatic efforts to highlight the ongoing human rights violations in occupied Jammu and Kashmir at the global level.
The participants expressed their full solidarity with the people of Palestine and strongly condemned the serious human rights violations and war crimes committed in Gaza.
The forum also reiterated its unwavering diplomatic, political and moral support to the Palestinian people.
At the end of the conference, the Army Chief directed the field commanders to maintain the highest standards of operational readiness and professionalism. The Army Chief also stressed on ensuring rigorous training to maintain optimal combat readiness.
