Presenting his monthly review, Tehsildar Fateh Jang highlighted a major crackdown in which 27 trucks carrying smuggled flour were seized. Similarly, the anti-encroachment campaign carried out under Mahmood’s supervision was recognised for restoring public spaces and improving accessibility in marketplaces.
Acknowledging his merit-based decisions and public-friendly conduct, the Deputy Commissioner also announced an expansion of Mahmood’s responsibilities. In addition to his role as Tehsildar, he will now oversee cases related to child abuse, women’s harassment and other sensitive social matters.
