Journalism is the fourth pillar of the state, and any violation of its sanctity is not only an assault on the Constitution and democracy but also a direct attack on press freedom. The forced entry into the Press Club and the use of force against journalists is a vile conspiracy to suppress freedom of expression.
This act is not only a disgrace to law and justice but also a blatant trampling of democratic values.
We demand from the Prime Minister of Pakistan to immediately launch a thorough investigation into this grave incident, ensure strict legal action against the responsible officials, and take concrete measures to prevent such attacks in the future.
