Under the decisive leadership of Special Price Control Magistrate Ch. Shafqat Mehmood, a targeted and intelligence-based operation against the flour mafia, profiteers, and hoarders continues with full intensity.
In the latest action, a major attempt to smuggle flour through the CPEC route was foiled, and 750 bags of flour were taken into official custody.
Acting on precise intelligence, enforcement teams exposed several facilitators involved in the smuggling network.
All confiscated flour was immediately shifted to government storage, while criminal cases have been registered and the investigation expanded to identify the remaining elements.
Ch. Shafqat Mehmood stated:
> “Those conspiring against national food security will be shown no leniency — the State’s response will be immediate, decisive, and complete.”
He further directed field squads to maintain strict vigilance across the CPEC corridor and all entry-exit routes, ensuring instant response to any suspicious movement.
According to the district administration, crackdowns on hoarders, black-marketers, and elements creating artificial shortages are underway.
