Lahore (TNS) Pakistan defeated South Africa to win the T20 series 2-1 in Lahore, Babar Azam scored a half-century and played an important role in Pakistan’s victory. After the T20 series, the first match of the 3-match ODI series between Pakistan and South Africa will be played on November 4, the second on November 6 and the last ODI on November 8 in Faisalabad. According to the details, Pakistan surpassed the target of 140 runs set by South Africa for the loss of 6 wickets in 19 overs thanks to Babar Azam’s brilliant batting.
Babar Azam played an innings of 68 runs off 47 balls with the help of 9 fours, while captain Salman Agha scored 33 runs, Saim Ayub was out for zero, while Sahibzada Farhan managed to score 19 runs.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and decided to field and invited South Africa to bat, after which the visiting team managed to score 139 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. For South Africa, Reza Hendricks scored 34, Bravis 21, captain Ferreira 29, and Corbin Bosh scored 30.
For Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi took 3 wickets, Faheem Ashraf and Usman Tariq took 2 wickets each, while Salman Mirza and Muhammad Nawaz took one wicket each. 2 changes were made in Pakistan’s playing eleven today, Naseem Shah and Abrar Ahmed were left out, while Shaheen Shah Afridi and Usman Tariq were given a chance. Usman Tariq made his T20 debut and took 2 wickets. Other players included Saim Ayub, Sahibzada Farhan, Babar Azam, Hassan Nawaz, Salman Ali Agha, Usman Khan, Muhammad Nawaz and Faheem Ashraf.
South Africa made 3 changes to the playing XI, dropping Tony de Zorzi, Lungi N’Gidi and Nandre Burger, while replacing them are Lohan Dre Pretorius, Lizard Williams and Ande Semalane.
In the first T20 match, South Africa defeated Pakistan by 55 runs, while in the second match, Pakistan won by 9 wickets.
