Islamabad (TNS) IGP directs enhanced security and public facilitation measures during Ramadan
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, held an important meeting at the Central Police Office. The meeting was attended by DIG Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar, AIG Logistics Abdul Haque Umrani, AIG General Syed Inayat Ali Shah, SSP Prisons Ali Akbar, and other senior police officers.During the meeting, a comprehensive strategy was discussed to provide maximum facilitation and security to citizens during the holy month of Ramadan.The IGP Islamabad directed all officers to further strengthen security measures at mosques, imambargahs, commercial centers, Ramadan bazaars, and other important public places.He also emphasized maintaining smooth traffic flow, preventing street crime, increasing patrol duties, and making emergency response more effective.Furthermore, special instructions were issued to ensure proper arrangements for the welfare of police officers and personnel deployed on duty during Sehri and Iftar hours, so that they may perform their responsibilities efficiently. IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi made it clear that the welfare of the force is the top priority and that all available resources should be utilized in this regard. The meeting also included a detailed review of the progress regarding the construction of Islamabad Prison.The SSP Prisons briefed the IGP Islamabad on the ongoing development work. On this occasion, the IGP Islamabad also directed the concerned officers to ensure construction quality, timely completion, and strict adherence to security requirements.In conclusion, he reaffirmed that the protection of citizens lives and property and the provision of a peaceful environment in Islamabad remain the foremost responsibilities of the police, and that all officers and personnel will utilize their professional capabilities to achieve this objective.
