Islamabad (TNS) ITP launches “Uraan Riding School” to promote safe and empowered mobility for women
According to the details, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has inaugurated the “ITP Uraan Scooty and Motor Riding School” for women. In this regard, a dignified inauguration ceremony was held at the Islamabad Traffic Police Headquarters, Faizabad.The event was attended by IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as the chief guest. Senior officers of Islamabad Police, women police officers, participants, and citizens were also present on the occasion.Taking a revolutionary step toward women empowerment, the IGP Islamabad inaugurated the riding school. On this occasion, he stated that the Uraan initiative symbolizes confidence and independence alongside driving training for women, where they will receive structured instruction in driving cars, motorcycles, and scooties.He further said that the ITP Uraan initiative is a significant milestone toward ensuring safe and autonomous mobility for women and is a practical effort to help women’s dreams take flight.The IGP Islamabad emphasized that this project represents an important advancement for women free and secure travel.On this occasion, CTO Islamabad, Capt. (retd) Hamzah Humayun, stated that the “ITP Uraan Scooty and Motor Riding School” has complete training arrangements in accordance with international standards. The school، includes a modern driving track and dedicated facilities for practical training.He further added that professional training at the ITP Uraan Riding School will be provided by female instructors, and women who complete the driving course will be issued formal certificates.The CTO Islamabad also stated that this school is a special facility for female students and working women of the twin cities, and it will enhance their professional skills.
