Karachi (TNS) Karachi DrRiffat Sultana cardiologist & ED KIHD has advised the public to take special care of their health during the blessed month of Ramadan, particularly patients suffering from heart disease.
She stated that daily routines and eating habits change during fasting, therefore it is very important to consume a balanced and healthy diet. Light and nutritious meals should be taken at Sehri and Iftar, while fried and fatty foods should be avoided, as they can be harmful—especially for heart patients.
Dr. Riffat Sultana further recommended a light walk after Asr prayer, as it helps keep the body active and supports heart health. She also noted that the number of cardiac patients sometimes increases during the last ten days of Ramadan due to dietary negligence and lack of care.
She urged everyone to give importance to their physical health along with spiritual worship during Ramadan, so the holy month can be observed in good health and well-being.
