Islamabad (TNS): PTI’s Major Tahir Sadiq Pays Tribute to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Terms His Assassination a Profound Loss for the Muslim World
Calls for Immediate Intervention by the United Nations and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, Urges Formation of a United Islamic Bloc
Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former District Nazim Attock, Major Tahir Sadiq, has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, describing it as a historic tragedy not only for Iran but for the entire Muslim Ummah.
In an official statement, Major Tahir Sadiq termed Ayatollah Khamenei a towering religious scholar, visionary thinker, and courageous political leader who played a decisive role in guiding the Muslim world through complex regional and global challenges. He said Khamenei’s intellectual, spiritual, and political legacy would continue to inspire generations across the Islamic world.
“History bears witness that arrogance of power is always temporary, while the voice of truth and justice can never be permanently silenced,” he stated, adding that standing firm against oppression is the true hallmark of leadership — a quality he said Ayatollah Khamenei embodied throughout his life.
The PTI leader emphasized that the Muslim world is passing through a critical phase and urgently needs unity, strategic clarity, and collective resolve. He called upon the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation to take immediate and concrete steps to halt what he described as Israeli aggression against Iran and to ensure protection of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Major Tahir Sadiq further stressed the need for the establishment of a united Islamic bloc that could collectively safeguard the political, economic, and security interests of Muslim nations on the global stage. He urged the Ummah to rise above internal divisions and respond with unity and determination.
Expressing solidarity with the people of Iran, he said the Pakistani nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its Iranian brothers and sisters in this hour of mourning. He offered prayers for the elevation of the deceased leader’s ranks and for strength, unity, and stability across the Muslim world.
Concluding his statement, Major Tahir Sadiq said the Muslim Ummah has been deprived of a great strategist, fearless statesman, and profound intellectual whose legacy of resilience and conviction will remain etched in contemporary Islamic history.
