Karachi (TNS) Karachi Secretary Health Sindh, Mr. Tahir Hussain Sangi, visited Dr. Ruth K. M. Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi, where he conducted a detailed review of the implementation and progress of the proposed hospital master plan. On this occasion, Medical Superintendent Dr. Syed Khalid Bukhari briefed him on various aspects of the project.
During the visit, the Secretary Health met with representatives of the Works & Services Department and issued directives for the timely completion of the warehouse. The team of the Deputy Commissioner South was also mobilized to demolish dilapidated buildings within the hospital premises to remove obstacles to upcoming development activities.
The Medical Superintendent also provided a detailed briefing regarding the strategy for shifting the OPD, so that space could be vacated for the proposed Medical Tower and work on the project could commence.
The Secretary Health directed all relevant departments to accelerate the pace of work in accordance with the instructions of Health Minister Dr. Azra Pechuho, ensure inter-departmental coordination, and initiate the project within the stipulated timeframe.
