Islamabad (TNS) IGP Islamabad reviews Red Zone security with Chief Commissioner،Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, accompanied by Chief Commissioner Islamabad Sohail Ashraf, visited the Red Zone. During the visit, they assessed security arrangements in the context of the arrival and movement of foreign delegations. Entry and exit routes, key government and private buildings, diplomatic centers, and other sensitive locations were also inspected.The IGP Islamabad issued instructions to officers and personnel on duty, emphasizing that security should be made more effective, coordinated, and stringent, keeping in view the nature and sensitivity of their duties. He stressed that all personnel must remain alert and perform their responsibilities with utmost professionalism. He further stated that Islamabad Police has ensured strict security arrangements at all important locations, including venues, airports, main highways, routes, funnel areas, hotels, and accommodations of foreign delegations. Foolproof security is being provided to all visiting foreign guests. The IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi added that, in addition to Islamabad Police, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, district administration, Pakistan Army, Rangers, Frontier Corps (FC), police from other provinces, intelligence agencies, traffic police, and Special Branch personnel are all actively performing their duties to strengthen the overall security system.Furthermore, a comprehensive and coordinated traffic plan has been devised to ensure smooth traffic flow and to minimize inconvenience to the public. Citizens have been urged to fully cooperate with security agencies and comply with the issued guidelines.In conclusion, the IGP Islamabad reaffirmed the commitment that Islamabad Police will utilize all available resources to provide the best possible security to foreign delegations and ensure the country’s dignity, safety, and image are upheld.
