ISLAMABAD (TNS) The Government of Pakistan has awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz to renowned dental surgeon, implantologist, educationist and Principal and Dean of the School of Dentistry of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Professor Dr. Bilal Ahmed, for his outstanding performance in the field of dentistry and educational services.
The award was presented at a prestigious awards ceremony held at the Governor House, Lahore, where distinguished personalities from different walks of life were awarded awards in recognition of their national services.
Professor Dr. Bilal Ahmed graduated as a gold medalist from De Montmorency College of Dentistry in 2002, while he obtained his FCPS degree from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan in 2009. He has a unique identity across the country due to his expertise in the fields of dental implants, restorative dentistry, clinical education and academic leadership.
With over two decades of professional experience, Professor Dr. Bilal Ahmed has rendered important services in various teaching and medical institutions and played a significant role in promoting modern dental education, postgraduate training and provision of modern medical facilities to patients in Pakistan.
He is also the founder of “Meddent Specialist Clinics – Dr. Bilal and Associates Dental Practice” based in Islamabad, where quality dental facilities have been provided since 2003.
Dentistry experts, academic circles, medical community, fellow doctors and students have congratulated Professor Dr. Bilal Ahmed on receiving the national award, calling it a proud moment for the medical and dental sector of Pakistan.
