Islamabad (TNS) IGP reviews comprehensive security plan for Muharram-ul-Haram,According to details, a key meeting was held under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, to ensure foolproof security arrangements during Muharram-ul-Haram. The meeting was attended by the DIG Headquarters, DIG Islamabad, DIG Security, and other senior police officers. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding security arrangements for Muharram processions, religious gatherings, and other related events. The IGP Islamabad directed officers to further strengthen and enhance security measures through the use of modern technology, effective inter-division coordination, and prompt response systems, ensuring a safe, peaceful, and citizen friendly environment. IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi stated that lmaintaining law and order during Muharram is the Islamabad Police top priority. He instructed all concerned officers to implement extraordinary security measures at sensitive locations, procession routes, and venues of religious gatherings, utilizing all available resources.The meeting also reviewed a comprehensive strategy concerning traffic management, emergency response mechanisms, public facilitation, and effective coordination among various departments and agencies. It was decided that all relevant units would remain fully active and vigilant throughout Muharram-ul-Haram to ensure the safety and convenience of citizens.The IGP Islamabad further directed that all officers remain present in the field to continuously monitor security arrangements and ensure immediate and effective action in response to any emergency situation, so that peace and order can be maintained throughout Muharram-ul-Haram.
