Islamabad (TNS) IGP reviews upgradation and development projects of special initiative police stationsIs According to the details, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired an important review meeting regarding the Special Initiative Police Stations (SIPS). DIG Headquarters Muhammad Ateeq Tahir, DG Safe City Muhammad Haroon Joiya, and other senior police officers attended the meeting.IGP Islamabad conducted a detailed review of the upgradation of Special Initiative Police Stations, development of modern infrastructure, quality of ongoing development work, and progress on various projects. The relevant officers briefed him on the ongoing projects, their completion stages, and facilities being provided to citizens.IGP Islamabad directed the officers to ensure the timely completion of all development projects, maintain high standards of construction work, and continuously monitor ongoing projects. He instructed that citizens visiting police stations should be provided with a modern, secure, and public-friendly environment, while front desks, waiting areas, and other public facilities should be further improved.He also directed senior officers to regularly review ongoing development work and take immediate action in case of any delay or negligence.Furthermore, IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held an important meeting with DG Safe City Muhammad Haroon Joiya, AIG Legal Tahir Kazim, SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, SHOs, and investigation officers. During the meeting, operational and investigative matters, progress on cases under investigation, crime prevention, effective law enforcement, and the overall performance of the police were thoroughly reviewed.IGP Islamabad received briefings from the officers regarding various cases and ongoing actions against criminal elements. He directed that serious crime cases be resolved on a priority basis, modern investigative techniques and technology be fully utilized, and investigations be completed on merit, with transparency and based on solid evidence.He further ordered intensified action against proclaimed offenders and habitual criminals, enhanced surveillance of crime hotspots, and increased police patrolling.IGP Islamabad emphasized that the protection of citizens’ lives and property, prevention of crime, and provision of swift justice are among the top priorities of Islamabad Police. He directed all officers to perform their duties with professionalism, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility and to utilize all available resources to further enhance police performance.
