Islamabad (TNS) DG Safe City reviews Safe City expansion project, emphasizes ai-based smart traffic management،According to the details, Director General Safe City / Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joiya chaired an important meeting to review the Safe City Expansion Project. The meeting was attended by officials from the Capital Development Authority (CDA), One Network (Private) Limited, and Safe City Islamabad.During the meeting, participants reviewed measures to introduce AI-powered surveillance cameras and smart policing for automated traffic monitoring at major intersections across the city, effective enforcement of traffic laws, improved traffic signal management, and maintaining smooth traffic flow during peak hours.On the occasion, the DG Safe City / DIG Traffic stated that providing citizens with a safe, organized, and efficient traffic system through modern technology and smart policing is their top priority. He added that the completion of the Safe City Expansion Project will significantly enhance traffic monitoring, reduce traffic-related issues, and provide citizens with improved travel facilities.Furthermore, DG Safe City / DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joiya chaired another important meeting with officers from various police stations of Islamabad Police. The meeting was attended by SP Operations Safe City Captain (R) Hamza Humayun, Director IT Atif Abbas, and other police officers.During the meeting, officers were directed to ensure the effective use of police software applications at police stations, keep the Safe City Control Room operational 24/7, ensure the timely resolution of public complaints, and further promote transparent policing.He directed that all police software be used effectively on a daily basis, the Control Room remain fully operational at all times, immediate response to emergencies be ensured, and public complaints be resolved within the prescribed timeframe to provide citizens with prompt, transparent, and quality police services while further strengthening public confidence in the police.In conclusion, DG Safe City / DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joiya said that Islamabad Police will continue to utilize modern technology, professional expertise, and transparent policing to prevent crime, maintain law and order, and provide the highest standard of police services to citizens.
