Islamabad (TNS) Zero tolerance for corruption, no leniency for criminals; says SSP Operations Islamabad,According to the details, SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza chaired an important meeting at Police Lines Headquarters, The meeting was attended by SP City Dr. Ayaz Hussain, all SHOs and muharrars of the police stations. The meeting reviewed in detail the law and order situation in the city, prevention of crime, timely provision of police services to citizens, welfare of police officers and personnel, and various departmental matters.Addressing the meeting, SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza said that serving the public is the foremost priority of Islamabad Police. He directed that citizens issues should be resolved at their doorstep and that every citizen visiting police offices and stations must be treated with dignity, respect and courtesy.He directed the officers to listen to citizens complaints attentively and take effective measures for the timely resolution of their issues. The SSP Operations said that police officers and personnel are the valuable asset of the department, adding that their welfare and grievances would be addressed on a priority basis. He said, the doors of my office are always open to police officers. The welfare of the force is my top priority. He further said that the role of police is crucial in maintaining peace and law and order in the city. Therefore, effective and vigorous action must be taken against criminal elements. It is our responsibility not to conceal crimes but to control them. Criminal elements deserve no leniency, he reiterated.SSP Operations made it clear that a zero-tolerance policy against corruption would be strictly enforced. In case of proven corruption, strict departmental action would be taken against the concerned officer or official. At the same time, officers and personnel demonstrating outstanding performance would be duly encouraged and appreciated. He directed all officers to ensure the provision of the best possible police services and timely redressal of citizens grievances under the SIPS Protocol. All officers will spend three hours daily in their offices listening to citizens complaints and issues and will ensure prompt measures for their resolution. He further stated that strict action would be taken without discrimination against anyone whose conduct brings disrepute to the police department.Police officers were directed to improve their conduct with the public and enhance their professional performance so that citizens’ trust in the police could be further strengthened.
