ISLAMABAD, Aug 12 (TNS), Pakistani experts on Wednesday have hailed President Xi Jinping’s Thought on Party Building, describing it as a significant contribution to party-building theory and governance while appreciating its role in China’s development and modernization.

Organized by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China and the Institute of Regional Studies (IRS), the joint symposium on “Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building” was attended by diplomats, parliamentarians, think-tank representatives and media professionals, with Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani as the chief guest.

Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building is an official Chinese Communist Party doctrine established in June 2026. It focuses on full and rigorous self-governance, absolute loyalty to central leadership, strict organizational discipline, and a continuous anti-corruption campaign to ensure long-term Marxist governance.

The speakers noted that Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building draws on Marxist theory, China’s fine traditional culture and the practical experience of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in strengthening Party governance, self-cultivation and self-improvement.

According to the report “Contemporary Features and Global Significance of Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building,” the Thought summarizes the practical experience of comprehensive and rigorous Party self-governance in the new era and represents a further development of Marxist theory on Party building.

The speakers described the Thought as “a milestone in the history of Marxist theory on Party building and in the history of Chinese Communist Party building,” saying it provides fundamental guidance for strengthening Party building in the new era.

They noted that the Thought also draws lessons from the rise and fall of political parties around the world while carrying forward China’s fine traditional culture and contributing Chinese perspectives and solutions to global political development.

Liu Daxiu, Head of the Delegation and First-Class Inspector at the Party Building Research Institute of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, addressed the symposium, while Zheng Huan, Professor of the Department of Party Building at the Central Party School of the CPC Central Committee, briefed participants on Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building.

Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong, President of the Institute of Regional Studies Jauhar Saleem and Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani also spoke at the event, lauding President Xi’s vision and leadership in guiding China’s development.

The symposium also highlighted the longstanding China-Pakistan relationship, with speakers noting that over the past 75 years, the two countries have forged an “ironclad friendship” through mutual respect, support and numerous historical challenges.

They said that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and Pakistani leaders, China-Pakistan relations have remained at a high level, while the building of a China-Pakistan community with a shared future has made steady progress.

The speakers further highlighted the CPC’s longstanding friendly exchanges with political parties in Pakistan, saying these interactions have contributed to strengthening strategic mutual trust, expanding practical cooperation and deepening the longstanding friendship between the two countries.

The speeches were followed by an interactive session in which participants discussed various aspects of Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building and its implications for governance, political development and China-Pakistan exchanges.
