KARACHI (TNS) KIHD Holds Independence Day Rally and Flag-Hoisting Ceremony

KARACHI (TNS) KARACHI On the occasion of Independence Day, the Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases (KIHD) organized a rally in solidarity with the Pakistan Army under the leadership of Executive Director Professor Dr. Riffat Sultana.
Dr. Sajid Ali Khan, Professor Mansoor Ahmed, Dr. Arif-ur-Rehman, along with a large number of doctors, nurses and paramedical staff, participated in the rally. The participants raised slogans in support of the Pakistan Army and expressed solidarity with the armed forces.
Later, Professor Dr. Riffat Sultana and other officials hoisted the national flag, followed by a dignified Independence Day ceremony where a cake was cut to celebrate the occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, Professor Dr. Riffat Sultana paid tribute to the senior leadership, civil society and the Pakistan Army. She said, “I salute the Pakistan Army for protecting our borders. Because of their sacrifices and vigilance, we are able to live peacefully and sleep soundly.”
She further said that Pakistan was progressing on the path of development due to the unity and solidarity between the people and the armed forces. She added that the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army had strengthened the country’s defence and said the nation took pride in its military leadership and capabilities.
Professor Dr. Riffat Sultana said the services of the Field Marshal in efforts to reduce tensions in the region were being appreciated around the world, adding that the entire nation was proud of its military leadership.
Paying tribute to the martyrs of the Pakistan Army, she said that the country’s defence had been strengthened because of their invaluable and everlasting sacrifices. She expressed confidence that the entire nation would continue to stand with the Pakistan Army.
The Independence Day celebrations at KIHD concluded with expressions of patriotism, national unity and solidarity with the armed forces.
