Islamabad (TNS) Over 277 individuals checked during citywide search operations in capital Following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police has intensified search and combing operations in various areas of the federal capital to curb crime and crackdown on criminal elements.The grand search and combing operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, and monitored by the respective zonal SPs During these search operations, a total of 277 individuals, 83 households, 58 shops, 21 hotels, 109 motorcycles and 56 vehicles were thoroughly checked.Additionally, 16 suspicious individuals and 15 motorcycles were also shifted to the police station for further verification.Moreover, accused involved in the possession of illegal weapons were arrested, and two pistols of various calibers, along with ammunition, were recovered.
