Islamabad (TNS) Rawalpindi Chief Traffic Officer Farhan Aslam inspected the facilities being provided to citizens at the licensing hall of the Traffic Headquarters. He also gathered feedback from citizens visiting to obtain driving licences about the licensing services offered by the traffic police.

According to Chief Traffic Officer Farhan Aslam, in line with the directives of IG Traffic Punjab Rao Abdul Karim, driving licences at the Traffic Headquarters and all other licensing centres are now being issued only on the basis of the original Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC), with all related facilities available under one roof.Motorcycle riders are being issued immediate driving licences under a special relief package. A separate counter has been dedicated for the convenience of senior citizens, women, and transgender persons. He further stated that citizens who find the process of obtaining a driving licence difficult should give the Rawalpindi Traffic Police an opportunity to serve them. They can obtain their driving licence with dignity by simply presenting their original CNIC and passing the required test, without any recommendations or influence.
