MQM-Pakistan asks PM for political freedom

KARACHI, Aug. 12 (TNS): A delegation on Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) headed by Dr Farooq Sattar called on Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahid Khaqan Abbasi Saturday at the Governor House, and held a detailed discussion on Karachi’s situation.

The delegation asked the premier for their political freedom, and demanded to get their closed offices reopened. It was also agreed that all political forces will work together to improve the condition of security as well as business.

Dr Farooq Sattar talked to media afterwards and told that the premier has promised to soon announce the execution of Karachi package. He told that MQM has also asked PM for the recovery of its missing workers.

Shahid Khaqan said he would have visited Karachi even if MQM had not voted for him in the PM elections as Karachi is the hub of Pakistan’s economy, told MQM-Pakistan head.

Farooq Sattar further added that Sindh governor is in contact with Karachi and Hyderabad mayors regarding the development projects, and MQM will also remain in touch with Sindh government
