Islamabad, August 14 (TNS): Murtaza Wahab of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was elected a senator unopposed for the seat that fell vacant after Saeed Ghani tendered in his resignation.
Shabbir Qaimkhani and Zahid Mansoori of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) withdrew their nomination papers paving way for Wahab’s unopposed victory.
Former senator Saeed Ghani tendered his resignation earlier this year and contested for a National Assembly (NA) seat.
