KARACHI, Aug 15 (TNS): Two suspected terrorists, affiliated with an outlawed organization, were killed in an encounter in Manghopir area of the city, claimed the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Sindh police.
SSP CTD Omar Shahid said his force foiled a terror plot to target the Rapid Response Force (RRF) headquarter and killed two terrorists associated with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s (TTP) Mufti Shakir group in a shootout.
Police said they have recovered maps of government and private installations from their possession. Both the terrorists were also involved in different terrorist activities in Korangi, Awami Colony and Abul Hassan Ispahani road areas, official said.
One of the terrorists has been identified as Danial, however, the identity of another is yet to be ascertained, CTD official said.
