LHC dismisses petition filed for the accountability of corrupt politicians including Zardari

Lahore, August 16 (TNS): Lahore High Court has dismissed the petition filed for the accountability of corrupt politicians including Asif Ali Zardari on maintainability ground.

Justice Shahid Waheed heard the petition on the request of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Inqalab.

The petitioner stressed that besides the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, no other politicians being tried for accountability; he also informed the court that former president Asif Ali Zardari has also been involved in corruption.

The applicant pointed out that only Nawaz has been punished in the Panama case but there was no action taken against the other characters including Zardari who was involved in mega corruption.
