NAB prepares questionnaire for Nawaz Sharif and sons

LAHORE Aug. 18 (TNS):   National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has prepared questionnaires for former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his two sons; Hussain Nawaz and Hassan Nawaz, as the Bureau is working on the reference to be filed in the accountability court as per Supreme Court’s orders in Panama case.

NAB had issued summon notice to Nawaz Sharif and his sons yesterday to appear before a team of the Bureau in Lahore today. However, a PML-N said that no summon was received by Nawaz Sharif or any of his sons.

As per the reports, Sharifs were required to appear before the team at 11:00 am Friday but none turned up at the Bureau’s Lahore office.

Sources said that NAB team tasked to investigate the Sharifs had prepared a questionnaire comprising questions to be asked from them.

The sources said that NAB would carry out investigation regarding London Flats and 16 offshore companies held by the Sharifs.

The investigation will also cover Hill Metal and Al-Azizia Steel Mills, besides Even Filed Flats. Dar would also be questioned by the Bureau team.

Sources said that in Even Fields Flats inquiry, probe will be carried out against Nawaz Sharif, Maryyam Safdar, Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz.

According to NAB sources, the Sharif family members were summoned to file their replies today pertaining to the NAB reference against them.

Earlier in the day, besides suspension of regular proceedings, a heavy contingent of security officials was deployed outside NAB Lahore office in anticipation of the former premier’s appearance.

NAB has also got access to the Volume-10 of the JIT report. The accountability bureau has also decided to use the services of JIT’s members Wajid Zia and Irfan Mangi.

A letter has also been written to the government of Saudi Arabia to get more details of the assets of Sharif family.
