Dr Munir’s book ‘Rights of the child in Islam’ launched

ISLAMABAD, Aug 21 (TNS): A book of International Islamic University (IIU) Vice President Dr Muhammad Munir, ‘Rights of the Child in Islam’ was launched on Monday.

The book was launched during a three-day conference, organized by the university’s Shariah Academy.

The three-day conference on ‘Rights of the Child’ is being attended by renowned judges, journalists, lawyers, religious scholars and intellectuals from Pakistan and abroad.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, renowned scholars and experts termed the book important for child rights. They said the author had addressed comprehensively state practices, classical gaps, while adoption of child and Islamic rules. “This is a must read part to have appropriate knowledge about Islamic rules in this regard,” they said.

Justice Khurshid Iqbal, Judicial Academy Peshawar DG Dr Farkhanda Zia, Dr Muhammad Mushtaq Ahmed and Dr Husnul Amin spoke on the occasion.

Dr Munir shared his thoughts about the book and thanked the reviewers and participants of the ceremony.
