LAHORE Aug. 22 (TNS): Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will appear in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) office in Lahore today (Tuesday) in the light of Supreme Court orders.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan had asked the NAB to file references against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his sons, son in law Captain (rted) Safdar and Ishaq Dar in its ruling in Panama Papers case on July 28.

Dar had previously been summoned to appear before investigators on August 18 but the finance minister did not show up. A fresh summons was issued, asking him to appear today.
The NAB officials will question Ishaq Dar regarding money laundering case.

NAB will also probe into his assets and funds. Panama JIT in its report had said that the finance minister possessed assets and funds that exceeded his known sources of income.
The NAB has also summoned record of Ishaq Dar, his wife and son’s companies.
The NAB is currently investigating Panama Papers and money laundering cases against Sharif family. Nawaz Sharif’s and Ishaq Dar’s close friends Saeed Ahmed (President of National Bank) and Javed Kiyani (President Sugar Mills Associations) had already recorded their statement before NAB.
