PFA seizes thousands of kilograms substandard spices

LAHORE, Aug 22 (TNS): The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed a spices packaging factor for producing substandard spices and seized thousands of kilogram substandard spices here on Tuesday.

Headed by DG PFA Noor-ul-Amin Mengal, a team of PFA conducted operation in Khokhar Colony at Ring Road in the provincial capital Lahore.

During the raid, the PFA sealed the factory after recovery of 3500 kilogram substandard red chilli powder, 3000 kilogram other spices, 1200 kilogram chukar.

The PFA seized the recovered substandard spices, sealed the factory and after registering a case against the owner and employees of factory, started the investigation.

The owner of the factory escaped before the arrival of the PFA team.
