Jhang, August 22 (TNS): Cantonment Board Shorkot cantt has stopped a resident in the area to rebuild his house which was collapsed months earlier.
Abdul Hameed, told TNS that that his house was collapsed few months ago and he was granted permission by the Cantonment Board to rebuilt it.
Hameed said a group in the board took Rs. 25,000 as bribe to allow him to rebuild the damaged structure.
He said when the house was half-built; another group of the board stormed the house with 20 to 25 employees of the board who broke down the under-construction structure.
The group of employees also tortured Hameed and his family members while mobile phone by which neighbors made video of the incident was also trashed.
The poor victims demanded higher authorities to take notice of the incident and allow them to rebuild their house.
