Karachi, August 23 (TNS): Karachi police on Wednesday recovered kidnapped son of lawmaker Ghulam Murtaza Baloch after an encounter, official says.
According to SSP Rao Anwar, police intercepted the gang near Karachi’s Northern Bypass and after an encounter released the abducted son of member Sindh Assembly after killing five kidnappers.
Rao said that the kidnappers opened fire on the police and the latter retaliated. “Five kidnappers were killed in the gun battle,” the officer said.
PPP MPA’s twenty-year-old son Hayat Baloch was abducted on Super Highway in Gadap Town on last Tuesday.
Six different teams of the law-enforcement agencies were formed to rescue Baloch.
